Mr Naseem did listen to me when I explained my symptoms, he took his time in explaining what was wrong, what he was going to do. I will see him again next week and I am certain whatever the problem is, I feel rest assured he will treat me with the upmost respect and give me the best possible treatment, very reassuring.
Mr Naseem delivered the bad news that I'm "extremely likely" to have prostrate cancer with clarity, conciseness and care. He gave me and my wife lots of opportunities to ask questions. He explained what would happen next and made sure we understood what he had said. While the news was unwelcome, the delivery was exemplary and if I need to return to Urology, I hope he will be the specialist I see.
Very good Surgeon, Explained everything in detail, made me feel at ease, in the circumstances,
I have had two consultations with this specialist at Barrow in Furness Hospital, he is very good at listening and passing on information about my problem.
My experience with him on both visits was very positive and I came away from the hospital feeling really good about the experience.
An excellent consultation - but the text about Tamsulosin is not correct.
In 2020 I had a rhegmatogenous retinal detachment - macula off - in my left eye. This was treated in July 2021 and silicone oil introduced. The oil was removed in December 2022 and a cataract treatment undertaken in the left eye. I was signed off by St.Paul's Eye Unit Liverpool on 14.03.23 - with no further treatment planned.
I do not know if this more complete information makes any difference to the advice that I received previously that I could not receive Tamsulosin.
